A Pullman bed is a bed that pulls down from the ceiling or folds out from the wall of a cruise ship cabin, allowing that cabin to sleep more people with less floor space. Named for inventor George M. Pullman, Pullman beds were first introduced in the sleeper cars of trains in the late 1850s.

We use Pullman beds in some of our staterooms which sleep 3 or more guests, these are beds that pull down from the ceiling, or out of the wall above the main bed, and are accessed by a ladder. We don't allow any guests to use them if they're under 6 years old, over 78" tall, weigh over 300 lbs or have mobility issues.
